Peanut butter on graham crackers, yogurt, and pineapple-orange juice. I was also going to suggest sushi (the obvious filling yet healthy choice)... but yeah, I'd also die if my garden started to smell like a boat dock.
Re-use for a few showers... but not because they've started to smell (they don't)-- the real reason is FEET. I dry my feet last, as I step out of the shower, and it takes some real rubbing to get them nice and dry (I hate walking around with damp feet, picking up lint and God knows what else). But no matter how well I've scrubbed those dogs, I can't shake the feeling that there's foot-gunk on my towel afterward... which is going to be spread all over my otherwise clean body after my next shower. It just grosses me out, so I can't help but switch towels every few days.
By the by, naughty bits get to air dry. If I was rubbing down my crack with my towel after every shower, I'd be getting a new towel every time. :)
I would be just as pissed at my husband for keeping quiet as I would be at the asshole who called me the name. It's not too late for him to stand up for you. This is the kind of thing that can fester and cause bigger relationship problems later, in my opinion. He should make an ass-chewing phone call on your behalf and quit hanging out with the jerk.
Yes, I breastfed exclusively for six months before introducing small amounts of rice cereal (mixed with breast milk), then slowly adding in stage 1 baby foods. I kept nursing until 13 months. Worked well for us, but I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I didn't have to hassle with pumping.
I'm not familiar with Oregon at all, but I can say that we moved our family from a big city in Texas to the mountains of Utah when our kid was 1, and it was the best thing we've done for our little family. We have the luxury of being able to work from home, though... obviously, you need to be able to support your family whatever you decide.
Never buy a $2000 piece of workout equipment. You won't use it; nobody does.
Never pull out of the driveway without making sure your kids are strapped in.
Never let a day go by without telling your spouse and kids that you love them.
Definitely try the crib, Jumparoo, Exersaucer or high chair (all but the crib being in your sight, of course).
Some might say get up early... I'm not one of those people. Plenty of time for gettin up early when the kid has to be at school. For now, sleep is too important.
