Who else can't wait to read Committed- Elizabeth Gilbert's newest book??
"I know it's a little thing, but it really bugs me when people..."
"Where's Jon? He's been MIA on the community site for awhile now..."
"Are you a multiple, do you have multiples? What has the experience been like?"
You could check your firewall settings and check for spyware, too. Without knowing more about your system I can't help though, sorry.
So the computer that isn't working is running XP?
I'm using Vista, but I might be able to help.
If it's XP you're in, try this- Go to:
>Show all connections (possibly under Connect to?)
>Right click on my LAN connection
>Select Properties
>Find Internet protocol (TCP/IP) Properties
>Check- obtain IP addresses automatically
The key is to select the option to Obtain IP addresses automatically- you might take a slightly different route to get there, though.
Are you using some version of Windows?
That's kind of an expensive chew toy, isn't it?
Does the computer work on other connections? So you don't have cable, but the internet connection is still active? Just curious. Are you getting any error messages? Mac or PC?
Also- I'm guessing you restarted? And do you have antivirus protection?
Something with an interesting texture- I like the moss idea, or balls of yarn, or feathers. Or you could cut off the blooms off of dried flowers and layer them. Or fill it with something metallic, like old buttons or costume jewelry. It's a beautiful vase, btw!
The small corporations are not the ones who will be wielding the most influence- it will be the large multinational ones. I'm not opposed to the existence of corporations- I'm opposed to them influencing our political process, and I don't think they should be given the same right as citizens- nor should they be required by law to put profit above everything else. As it is, it's much easier for a citizen to be held accountable for their actions than a corporation. A corporation can pollute the environment and make people sick, and then dissolve, and leave the clean-up to the taxpayers (this exact scenario has happened in Montana with mining corporations.) A citizen who did this would be fined and imprisoned.
This has NOTHING to do with free speech. We limit other ads that are potentially harmful- hate speech, or ads for products like cigarettes. Corporations gaining even more influence over our political process is just one more example of capitalism trumping democracy.
Thanks for the update! I was curious how it turned out. It sounds like she's making an effort, at least? I'm sorry that it still smells, though- it was really nice of you not to take any drastic measures with her. I know our sense of smell diminishes as we age, too.
The Daily Show had a good segment on that- lots of man boob jiggle, too.
I've used this method to relieve all kinds of tension- lower back, shoulder and leg. Dorky name, but it's really gentle.
Do not hate the Croc.
Dolly Parton all the way, I'd love to have that much class, money, and cleavage!
I think it's sad. Very sad.
And, no, Jenny, there are a lot of people involved in the tea demonstrations that are calling themselves that. I don't know why. Many are speaking out about it now, but they were not at first. There are "Proud to be a teabagger" buttons:
When I first heard about this whole thing and heard people using the term, my jaw dropped. I knew it wouldn't be long before they tried to distance themselves from the name.
well, duh - of course they are! How else can my fantasy of having Brad fall in love with me via the internet and choose me over BOTH Jen and Angelina ever come true? Just for the record, though - I won't marry him either. He'll just be my poly 2nd husband. Mr. Stang says he's fine with that. We can use the additional showbiz income, would love to help wtih the charitable work and our (only) son needs some playmates. Mr. Stang will stay home with them all when we have custody.
No comment on this but......
Can I live in your brain @MicahMiranda? Seems like some wonky shit going on in there!
I cannot disagree more with Jenny. You can write all the stipulations you want to disclose whom is donating money where, but that just doesn't work. There are so many factitious ads that do great harm. Sure, the people responsible for those ads sometimes are brought to justice and make public apologies, but the damage by then is done. Look at all the idiots who watch Fox News and hold onto every word that is said. They don't ever care about the retractions. They quote the lies they are told and don’t care to know the difference. Oh my god there are DEATH PANELS in the healthcare bill and my grandma is going to be killed! Oh my god we’re going to provide medical care to ILLEGALS?!!!! How dare you!
A lot of damage can be done with a 30 second ad. This damage, most of the time, cannot be rectified in time.
Corporations should have no right AT ALL when it comes to government and politics. Simply because they have absolutely no interest in protecting people and the planet he only thing they care about is their profit. Government should protect US from the corporations. Instead our government is protecting the corporation from accountability.
Oh my gosh, he wants to have your babies..you're the luckiest girl in the world!
You should probably tell us some unique marks you have on your torso so when a decapitated body with no feet or hands is found, you can be identified.
Hmmm . . . this is interesting. Well I think I'd have to go with my husband if I am being realistic. I would love to know how he sees me and our life and our daughter and everything from his point of view. That might be quite an eye opener!
Just for fun . . . my daughter because it really seems like being just under 2 is the best of times and the worst of times and it would be fun to be her for a week.
And to be selfish . . . whoever is currently dating Ewan MacGregor cause I'd like to get me a piece of that! ;-)
Somebody really beautiful. I always wondered what it would feel like to have men act all stupid around you just because you're pretty. I guess that seems shallow compared to some other answers, but I don't really feel like, given the authority, I could save the world or anything. I'll leave that sort of thing to those better suited for the job.
As odd as this sounds, a stay at home mom. Me and the hubs have no real plans of having children, I'm a workaholic, so I'd like to know if I'd really feel like I was missing out on something or if the path I've chosen is the right one for me.
